Berdymukhammedov is an autocrat and thief, looking constantly to fatten his pocket.  In this sense he is like Niyazov, although without the cult of personality, yet.  I was amazed by the naivete of the RFERL article on the satellite dishes - authors, politicians, and critics need to have relevant expectations regarding Turkmenistan.  Its not exactly a place where liberals are bred.</description>
