Sometimes they come back, unfortunately…

Hardly recovered after turkmenistan.newerasia.net’s slashing review of his movie, Borat returns for his book launch.

“It give me great pleasurings to announce that Kazakhstan, after many years of secret research, we are now able to produce our own book!” Borat, aka Sacha Baron Cohen, announces the release of his new book, Touristic Guidings to Minor Nation of U.S. and A. and Touristic Guidings to Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, at a book signing in Los Angeles.

Without any doubts the question about banning the publishing and distribution of this book in CIS countries will raised very soon. It is the only case when I’m happy that Turkmenistan has tough censorship policy.

:) With you on this being the silver lining of strict censorship, even if it is a very tarnished one. Apparently the book lacks Borat’s “winsome character” (winsome??!), meaning that ignoring the sheer vulgarity of the whole venture is (even) harder than with the film…

Frankly speaking I’m a big fan of Borat. I just envy at his popularity among highly intelligent people and refined sense of humour.
